Guides
Roads, claims and the calendar
Written for Tucson drivers from statutes, ADOT reporting and weather service data. Road and event dates move, so each guide is re-checked and re-dated.
I-10 construction and your windshield
The Kino to Country Club rebuild, the exits that changed, and how a damage claim to ADOT works, with its 180-day limit.
Rock from a truck
Arizona's load law read from the statute, the I-19 exits where mine and gravel traffic runs, and the choice between your policy and the truck owner's.
Tucson auto glass calendar
Month by month: the weather service's heat and frost normals, monsoon dates, and the big events that change traffic and parking.
Area pages
Places with their own page
Communities on our Tucson listing where the roads, ZIP codes and county lines need more than a line in the service-area table.
Catalina and SaddleBrooke
The two communities up Oracle Road past Oro Valley, one in Pima County and one in Pinal, sharing ZIP 85739 and one highway.
Rita Ranch and Corona de Tucson
The far southeast side, from the city's Rita Ranch neighbourhood out Houghton Road to Corona de Tucson in the Santa Rita foothills.
Picture Rocks and Tucson Estates
The west side beyond the Tucson Mountains: Gates Pass, Kinney Road and Ajo Way, with the ZIP codes and the roads in.
How they are written
Checked against the original source
Each guide starts from a document a reader can open: the Arizona statute itself on azleg.gov, the National Weather Service's Tucson normals, an ADOT project schedule as reported in the news, an agency's own reporting page. Where a fact comes from a news report rather than the agency, the guide says so. Every guide ends with that list of links and the day it was last read.
Some facts move faster than others. Lane closures on I-10 change every week, so the construction guide sticks to the project's limits, its exits and its timeline, and points to ADOT for today's closures. Event dates in the calendar are for the 2026 to 2027 season and get replaced each year. The statutes change only when the legislature amends them, and when one does, the guide that quotes it is rewritten.
None of this is legal advice. The guides explain what a law or an agency says in plain words, and tell you when it is worth asking a lawyer or your insurer instead.
